The XY5224DD is a Quad channels laser driver designed to interface with directly modulated 25Gb/s lasers. The bias current and the modulation current are independently programmable via a 2-wire serial interface. It can support programmability of input equalization and crossing point adjustment. There is a Tx Disable function available via a CMOS digital input, which turns off the laser bias and modulation currents. There is an IBIAS monitor function enables external monitoring of the laser bias and/or laser modulation current. There is an on-chip ADC function that can be used to measure TX_PWR through a dedicated Back-Facet Monitor Current Input pin. The ADC can also be configured to measure VCC (each of the power supplies can be measured) and IBIAS ( average laser bias current).
